It is our belief that engaging with creativity is life-giving and the arts belong to all of us. This applies to all aspects of our lives – including work, school, community. As part of this belief, we love providing customized training for organizations that recognize the benefit of the arts in their own community. Using the extensive knowledge and experience we have in the field of expressive arts, we are able to create training that applies to a specific population and setting. We offer full day training, half day training, and shorter experiences that meet expressed needs of a variety of organizations and people. Some examples are Hospice volunteers, cancer survivors, clinical teams, teacher education, corporate team building, community building, Parkinson’s support groups, and community-based initiatives. Specialized Training in Expressive Arts
Specialized, custom training in Expressive Arts may include a number of objectives including team building, expressive arts at the bedside, community building, tools for using expressive arts with special populations for improved individual or collective wellbeing.
Training may include developing a basic understanding and experience of intermodal expressive arts process, and what it means to sequence or layer visual art, movement, sound, rhythm, writing, and more to meet a specific purpose.
We love introducing others to the Creative Wisdom Approach developed by Expressive Arts Florida Institute and developing an understanding of witnessing within the expressive arts process. It is important to us to help others connect to their own creativity and learn how it can help them feel connected to others by being seen and heard through the process.
All of our training is highly experiential while also being grounded in evidence-based, embodied pradtice.
