This week, we experienced the joy of traveling the world—without leaving our Zoom screens—through the lens of Expressive Arts. Thirteen remarkable students joined us, guided by 10 extraordinary presenters from across the globe, sharing inspiration, learning, and heartfelt connection.
In a world often marked by division and distance, gatherings like this remind us of hope, possibility, and the deep bonds of the global Expressive Arts community. Gloria Simoneaux and Joyce Oketch from Harambee Arts in Kenya described their program as a “love story,” a sentiment that resonates with our shared creative journey. Hector Aristizabal from Colombia invited us to reconnect with the more-than-human world, dissolving illusions of separation and opening us to the transformative power of art in community. Fay Wilkinson showcased “the power of story,” offering moving examples of her “Stories in Motion” project.
