Expressive Arts Workshop online & EAFI Alumni Offering

with Sunny Stewart

June 9, 1-4 pm edt

$45

In this workshop we will explore the nature of trees through a creative cycle of expression.

Sacred Tree offers you an opportunity to explore the nature of trees through a creative cycle of expression. You are invited to journey through poetry, guided visualization, visual art making, and writing as a means of connecting with and embodying the natural element of trees.

This workshop is intended to foster a sense of interconnection and belonging in the natural world which supports our personal and communal well-being. Sunny’s workshops often explore the nature of being human and being a human in natureⓒ.

No art skills or expressive art experience is necessary.

You will need:

  • Writing paper/journal and utensil
  • Paper for artmaking
  • Quiet space to create and write

Optional: (These are all just fun options for following your creative and ecological impulses.)

  • Any art supplies on hand (consider crayons, markers, colored pencils, oil or chalk pastels, watercolor or tempera paint)
  • Any natural materials, such as leaves, seeds, berries or dried flowers and glue or tape.

Sunny Stewart is an Expressive Arts Facilitator, a graduate of EAFI, and artist residing in St. Petersburg, FL. She offers virtual and in-person creative workshops and community art events. Her workshops often explore the nature of being human and being a human in natureⓒ. She believes we are our own guides, healers and teachers, and offers contemplative creative spaces for harnessing understanding, wisdom, healing and other powerful inner resources.

Like everything else in the vast and extraordinary Universe, we are in the process of unfolding, expanding and evolving. The innate wildness of our inner terrain is always available to us for exploration. We just need a moment to fill our lungs with fresh air and sink into a safe sacred space to center and ground ourselves. In the moments that follow we remember who we really are…

Sunny is completing her MA in Transpersonal Psychology along with certificates in Creativity & Innovation and Ecopsychology. Her research focuses on the realm of creativity at the intersections of art, nature, dreams and spirituality. She and her family are working on sustainability and deepening their relationship with the plants and creatures on their homestead.
