Expressive Arts Florida Institute believes that children benefit from Expressive Arts too. It engages their imagination and creativity in a nurturing and exploratory learning environment. We provide Sarasota children’s programs to help facilitate that learning process.
KIDS EXPRESS ART CAMP
Kids Express Art Camp is a fun week-long art camp for children ages 6-11 in Sarasota. Creativity is necessary for preparing our children to live in this world- treat them to an art adventure on which they will express, experiment, and explore creativity using a variety of art materials and processes! Ranging from collage, clay and painting to movement and storytelling – the expressive arts invite fun, inquiry, and amazing discoveries!
Art Camp is taught by Tamara Teeter-Knapp, a certified K-12 Art teacher and former Waldorf educator. She is a core faculty member of Expressive Arts Florida. She incorporates different arts modalities in an expressive arts process that allows children to explore their own images and individual creativity in a dynamic and fun environment.
WALDORF-INSPIRED CHILDREN’S ART ENRICHMENT CLASSES
Expressive Arts Florida periodically offers Children’s Art Enrichment Classes to children aged 6-12. The class includes circle time with seasonal songs & movement, math reinforcing activities with bean bags/clapping or kinesthetic math games, short fables or a legend story – told orally, and wet-on-wet painting. The classes are taught by Tamara Teeter Knapp, a certified K-12 Art Teacher and former Waldorf educator.
