This week we closed our first Creative Presence course, focused on working one-on-one through expressive arts. We were joined by two dozen spiritual directors, therapists, coaches, and facilitators — all united by a shared commitment to serve with care, attunement, and authenticity.
As we completed our final creative process, an image came to me: a lemniscate holding a bright yellow flame, with the words carry the flame. It felt like a symbol of balance — give and take, in and out — with a steady center that sustains inspiration.
Later, I noticed similar shapes in recent images and was reminded how creative wisdom emerges when we make space for it. Through art, movement, and reflection, something beneath the surface becomes visible. We begin to sense we are on the path.
This is the gift we offer our clients — a safe space where their own wisdom can unfold with an empathic witness who trusts the process.
It is meaningful work. I am grateful to carry the flame — and to share it.
